New Year’s Resolution: Try Vegan For The Month of January | Take The Pledge

We know – another New Year’s resolution to throw on your plate. Let’s face it, most resolutions fizzle out by the time February roles around. People get burnt out sticking to a new routine and slowly but surely fall back into their old habits. But, what if we told you that we have a healthy, exciting, and actually possible resolution for you to try out this January? Yep, you heard that right. Vegan January is back and better than ever! Today, we’re going to break down why this is the best New Year’s resolution to make this January and the best ways to set yourself up for success!

One of our biggest tips for sticking to your vegan January is to eat “vegan-ified” versions of meals you already like – and who doesn’t like pizza? The Pizza Plant will be the perfect addition to your vegan diet this January, because it’s fully plantbased (but doesn’t taste like it!) and is made from wholesome, delicious ingredients. Best part? It’s fully pre-made and ready to pop in your oven and devour. Stock up on The Pizza Plant by heading to your local grocery store or shopping online on the GTFO It’s Vegan Marketplace.

What Makes Vegan January Different Than Other New Year’s Resolutions?

Great question! Like we noted in the beginning, New Year’s resolutions can be difficult to stick with. Lucky for you, going vegan this January is an easier promise to make than other resolutions, and we’re going to tell you just why!

  1. It’s a one-month commitment
Yep, no pressure to stay vegan for the whole year (although don’t be surprised if you end up loving it so much that you never look back).

  1. It’s fun to feel good!
Going vegan naturally requires eating more plants and foods straight from the earth, which undoubtedly makes a person feel good! And seriously, who doesn’t like feeling their best?

  1. It’s a selfless pledge
Most New Year’s resolutions revolve around doing something for yourself. While going vegan is absolutely a kind thing to do for your body, mind, and spirit, it’s also a selfless pledge to take for animals and our earth – which is much more motivational than doing something “just because.”

Need Some Tips On How To Stick To Your Vegan January?

We’ve got you covered. Here’s some of our best advice for taking the pledge (and actually following through for the whole month!):

  1. Simply make your favorite foods vegan
We said it before and we’ll say it again – vegan cooking doesn’t need to be complicated! In fact, you can Google just about any food with the word “vegan” in front of it and find a delicious recipe that caters to your specific preferences.

  1. Get crafty with a calendar
At the beginning of the month, create some sort of goal tracker calendar. This will help in changing your resolution from an idea to a habit. Pro tip: Include some of your “why’s” on the tracker to keep you motivated throughout the whole month!

  1. Meal prep, meal prep, meal prep!
The easiest way to slip off of your resolution is by not having vegan foods readily available. Stock up your kitchen with only vegan options and start meal prepping weekly, so that you’re never caught in a pinch and temped to reach for non-vegan foods.

  1. Have fun!
The vegan January challenge is not meant to feel daunting or un-doable. Think about it: It only lasts for a month (which is relatively speaking, not long at all) and involves trying new, wholesome, and tasty foods. Who knows? You may love being vegan and decide to stick to it for months to come – or, at the very least, find a few favorite meals to sprinkle into your regular diet. You never know until you try. So, take the vegan pledge this January. We promise, it’s worth it for both you and the planet!
